AMARIS 1050RS
|
The SCHWIND AMARIS 1050RS is the product of continuous development work and is the most powerful excimer laser in the AMARIS product family. The innovative laser system delivers an unsurpassed repetition rate of 1050 Hz – currently the highest of all excimer lasers on the market.
1050 Hz pulse rate The innovative laser system delivers an unsurpassed repetition rate of 1050 Hz – currently the highest of all excimer lasers on the market – and consequently an extremely short ablation time of just 1.3 seconds per dioptre. That means even greater safety and comfort for the patient. The risk of the cornea drying out is minimized, and the length of time the patient has to fixate on the green light is reduced. It is a performance leap that brings maximum safety and enhanced patient comfort. |
Automatic Fluence Level Adjustment (AFLA)
The Automatic Fluence Level Adjustment (AFLA) method ensures an ideally balanced ration between the total number of laser pulses and the energy delivered. About 80 percent of the ablation is performed with a high fluence value. For the fine work – the remaining 20 percent – the laser system automatically switches to a lower fluence. |
Intelligent Thermal Effect Control (ITEC)
The thermal control process prevents damage to the surrounding corneal tissue, even at very high ablation speed. ITEC ensures that the laser pulses are distributed in a thermally optimised, dynamically adapted way, which gives the individual position on the cornea sufficient time to cool off. Following pulses can thereby approach an already cooled position faster. |
Active 7D eye tracking
The 7D active eye tracker impresses through a number of benefits: Apart from the linear movements (1st and 2nd dimensions) it compensates rolling movements of the eye (3rd and 4th dimensions). Compensation of the eye’s rotation around its optical axis is achieved with the static and dynamic Advanced Cyclotorsion Control (5th dimension). Movements along the z-axis (sixth dimension) are actively compensated by means of the z-tracking. Automatic pupil size control and pupil centroid shift compensation ensure additional safety. Latency-Free Tracking in the 7th dimension the new, ground-breaking Latency-Free Tracking considers the time factor, i.e. the 7th dimension. Latency-Free Tracking compensates for eye movements that occur in the period between acquisition of the eyetracker image and triggering of the subsequent laser pulses. |
Treatment planning with the SCHWIND CAM software
The integrated SCHWIND CAM software with the ORK-CAM, PresbyMAX and PTK-CAM modules offer a tailored treatment planning solution for a uniquely wide range of applications in refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery. TransPRK - "No-Touch" treatment with the SCHWIND AMARIS laser systems it is possible to carry out no-touch, all-laser surface ablations. The so-called TransPRK (Transepithelial Photorefractive Keratectomy) is an advanced version of surface treatments as LASEK, Epi-LASIK and PRK. Thereby the epithelium, which is the regenerative surface of the eye, is ablated by the laser system. The TransPRK is a transepithelial single-step treatment that avoids the eye coming into contact with any instrument. |
High resolution online pachymetry
The integrated contact-free optical pachymetry provides precise information about the thickness of the cornea throughout the entire duration of the treatment. The changes are measured and displayed on the treatment screen online. The measurements are taken before the preparation and after lifting of the flap, as well as during and after the laser treatment. This increases the intraoperative safety in refractive treatments. All data are documented in the treatment log. |
SmartPulse Technology
The feature SmartPulse improves vision quality in the early postoperative phase of all treatment methods, whether stromal or surface. AMARIS patients experience a real ‘wow effect’ when they notice how well they can see immediately after surgery. SmartPulse uses a sophisticated geometric model based on a fullerene structure. |
Corneal Wavefront Analyzer
The SCHWIND Corneal Wavefront Analyzer offers all the possibilites of an innovative topography system. This includes the analysis of corneal wavefront data and thus a particular precise diagnosis in the symptomatic aberrations of the cornea. |
MEDNET
All data from the diagnostic devices and / lasers are stored in a central computer unit and can be retrieved or edited quickly and easily from any workstation Schwind MEDNET. The procedures are simplified and ensure safe and consistent data transfer. |
CXL-365 vario system for corneal collagen cross-linking
All laser systems in the SCHWIND AMARIS product range can be optionally equipped with the SCHWIND CXL-365 vario system for corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL). Ultraviolet A (UVA) light and riboflavin (vitamin B2) is used to stabilize the cornea by inducing cross-links within and between collagen fibres. |
