Eye Refract is based on patented Wavefront Technology developed by Visionix®.
Wave-front technology offers a measurement of the eye featuring a multitude whereas traditional technologies measure a singular point or a just a few points. Visionix® pioneered their patented method which miniaturized this technology. This process enabled incorporation of the dual aberrometer found in the Eye Refract to allow for binocular refraction in a real time producing exceptional accuracy. Eye Refract features two Shack-Hartmann sensors running simultaneously to provide real time binocular refraction. These sensors combined with the phoropter head allow Eye Refract to automatically measure visual defects.
